Lawyer, Advocate. He works with the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights in their Precedence Case Program.

Anna Dzierzgowska

Secretary of Amnesty International – Poland. She deals with the mainstreaming of tolerance and nondiscrimination in the educational sector.

Dr. Agnieszka Graff

Polish author, translator and publicist connected to the feminist movement. She studied at Oxford University, Amherst College in the US and the School of Social Sciences at the Polish Institute of Sciences. She became a doctor of English literature in 1999. Her book “World without Women” was published in 2001. She works at the American and European Studies Institute at the University of Warsaw as well as in Gender Studies. She’s the author of numerous essays and columns published Gazeta Wyborcza, World Liturature and Zadra. Co-founder of the March 8 Coalition which is an organizer of the annual Women’s Demonstration. She is a member of the Programming Board of the Precedence Cases of the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights.

Karolina Kędziora

Lawyer, leader of the Polish Association of Anti-discrimination Law, certified by Interights and Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights as trainer in antidiscrimination law. Lawyer in the Helsinki Foundation program “Public Interest Legal Activity” from 2003-2006. She’s published on legal aspects of discrimination in amongst other places Rzeczpospolita. Currently she is finishing her application to become a legal advisor in Warsaw.

Krzysztof Kliszczyński

Chairman of Lambda Warsaw, the oldest Polish NGO working to fight discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.

Alicja Kowalska

PhD candidate at the Polish Academy of Science's School of Social Studies, member of the research project "Monitoring Xenophobic and Racist Hate Crimes" and offers support for victims in Poland and Germany through the Never Again Association and the German organization Opferperspektive. 

Dr. Sergiusz Kowalski

Sociologist, publicist, and translator. Author of: A Criticism of SolidarityReason, Birth of the Third Polish Republic. He recently published with Magda Tulli Instead of Court Proceedings: A Report of Hate Speech (2003).

Prof. Ireneusz Krzemiński

Sociologist specializing in the sociology of change. Director of the Social Change Department of the Sociology Institute at Warsaw University. Author of numerous publications on social change in democratic societies. Researcher of anti-Semitism and intolerance in modern-day Poland and an active commentator on current political events. He’s published in many newspapers.

Wanda Nowicka

Educated in Classic Linguistics, and formerly a teacher of Latin and English for many years. Most widely known as an effective activist for women’s, feminist and human rights organizations. Co-founder of Neutrum Association for a Nation with a Neutral Worldview. Co-founder in 1992 and current leader of the Federation for Women and Planned Parenthood. Former expert to the World Health Organization and other international organizations. Recipient in 2000 of the Rainbow Award for people working against homophobia.

Patrycja Pogodzińska

Doctoral candidate at the Faculty of International Public Law in the Department of Law and Administration at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, lawyer at the Chancellery of the European Court of Human Rights. Specialized in issues of European law in regards to homosexuals.

Prof. Magdalena Środa

Philosopher, ethics professor, publicist, feminist. She deals with the history of ethics, ethics and ideas, applied ethics, political philosophy, and women’s issues. Editor of Philosophy Review from 1993, secretary of the editorial staff of Ethics from 1994. Member of Collegium Invisibile, Polish Academy of Science (from 1996). A columnist for Gazeta Wyborcza. Plenipotentiary for the Equal Status of Women and Men from 2004-2005.

Jerzy Szczęsny

Doctoral candidate at Warsaw University. Author of legal expertise for the German Parliament regarding same-sex partnerships.

Teresa Romer

Retired Supreme Court Justice specializing in labor law, and social security. Author of legal commentary on labor issues. Lecturer of labor law, social security and judicial ethics. Chairperson of Iustitia Association of Polish Judges.

Prof. Roman Wieruszewski

Directory of the Poznan Center for Human Rights at the Polish Academy of Science. Member of Refugee Committee, Advisory Committee to the Ministry of the Interior, OSCE expert. One of the authors of the Yogyakarta Principles on the Application of International Human Rights Law in relation to Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity.

Prof. Eleonora Zielińska

Director of the Department of Comparative Criminal Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration at Warsaw University. She is concerned with issues of violence and sex discrimination as well as legal aspects of equality. She is the author of various texts and is an expert in monitoring the adherence to sex discrimination laws supported by the European Commission.
